The dilemma of keeping it classic or trying to reinvent the category.
I mean for Ferrari, it would be stupid not to do a MR P1 car, but for Subaru and other smaller brands, pulling a stunt like the GT-R LM NISMO, could be their best chance to stand out, even before racing.

Not really. They will once it turns out that the GT-R isn't seconds off the pace. Which I predict it will be. If Köln, Weissach and Neckarsulm all decided to go MR, there will be a reason behind it. Nissan's LMP1 project seems like a marketing stunt more than a serious racing effort.

Yes, they got the marketing part right. The other teams could learn a thing or two from that, as public exposure and openness on technical solutions bring new fans to the series.
